Feng Shui creates and enhances the flow of natural energies in your surroundings. It promotes prosperity and well-being, greater clarity, improved efficiency, happier relationships, and better health.
An acupuncturist opens blockages of stagnated energy in your body. Feng Shui does the same for your environment. The Feng Shui practitioner understands intuitively and emotionally as well as intellectually where energy is flowing and where it is blocked.
Using all of these faculties she locates power flows and blockages in your home, workplace, or outdoor natural setting and administers treatment or "cures". These cures can exert a powerful positive influence not only on your subconscious mind but also on your physical and emotional being.
The "health" of your home and work environment is critical to your success and happiness in life. These are the environments where you spend most of your time and effort. At home you nurture and renew your energy, and that of your friends and loved ones. At work you send your energy out into the world. Energy comes back to you in the form of income and recognition from others.
FENG SHUI BASICS
What is Feng Shui?
Feng Shui is an art and science that uses ancient and contemporary knowledge to create the most suitable conditions for living and work environments. Using internal and external design elements such as landscaping, color, plants, mirrors, furniture arrangement, and lighting, the Feng Shui practitioner addresses problems and concerns regarding business, family matters, finances, relationships, and health.
Where is Feng Shui used?
In Feng Shui all space is sacred because it acts as a channel or vessel for the flow of chi or energy. Your health, career, and relationships are all reflected in and influenced by the way you arrange and manage your home, workplace, or other environment. Feng Shui enhances and harmonizes your energy by enhancing and harmonizing the energy of your environment. For example, a good energy flow in your home enhances your own physical, emotional, and mental energy.
Feng Shui is just as important in the workplace. In the summer of 1998, a San Jose Mercury-News Business Section article reported that a Feng Shui practitioner treated a Silicon Valley office building before it was opened to tenants. Every one of the businesses that relocated there prospered. Even more strikingly, a business that relocated to another building that had not been given Feng Shui soon encountered financial problems.
Sometimes, a few simple adjustments are all that is necessary to change a place with dull, stagnant energy to a center of life and vibrancy.
